The oldest tennis tournament in the world, played on grass in the leafy south-west London suburb of Wimbledon, famous for strawberries and cream. It is one of the highlights of London's calendar.
When it happens
Wimbledon is usually held over two weeks in late June and early July; in 2026 it runs from 29 June to 12 July.
How to see it
Show-court tickets are sold by public ballot well in advance, while the daily Queue offers grounds passes on the day. Arrive very early to queue.
