One of the City of London's oldest traditions, a three-mile procession of floats, bands and carriages, ending with an evening fireworks display over the Thames. It is one of the highlights of London's calendar.

When it happens

The Lord Mayor's Show is held in mid-November; in 2026 it is on 14 November.

How to see it

It is free to watch from the streets of the City. The fireworks are best seen from the river.

Tips for visitors

Wrap up warm, arrive early for a kerbside spot, and stay for the fireworks. More in our events guide.
