Europe's biggest street festival, a celebration of Caribbean culture with sound systems, steel bands, dancers and food across Notting Hill. It is one of the highlights of London's calendar.

When it happens

Notting Hill Carnival takes place every August bank holiday weekend; in 2026 that is 29 to 31 August.

How to see it

It is free and open to all. Sunday is the calmer, family-friendly day; Monday is the big parade.
