Laser tag drops your team into a dark, neon-lit arena to chase, dodge and tag opponents with infrared blasters. It is fast, inclusive and great for mixed ages, which makes it a go-to for birthday parties, teen groups, stag and hen do's and office socials. Games are short and high-energy, with several rounds per booking.
How a game works
You are kitted with a vest and blaster, split into teams, and briefed on the rules and game modes, from team deathmatch to capture-the-base. Multi-level arenas with ramps, mazes and hiding spots reward both runners and snipers. Scores are tallied automatically and shown at the end of each round.
Prices and booking
Most venues sell multi-game packages, with party deals that bundle food and a private room. Off-peak weekday slots are cheaper. Book ahead for weekends, and check minimum ages, which are typically around seven, with adult-only evening sessions at some sites.
Where to play
Indoor laser-tag arenas are scattered across the suburbs and a few central spots, and many sites combine it with bowling, mini-golf or an arcade for a longer visit. See our indoor activities and London with teenagers guides for more.
Good to know
Wear trainers and dark clothing, which shows up well under UV. It is fully indoor and year-round, so a reliable rainy-day option; plan your trip with our getting around London guide.
